Hurricane Milton Relief

Tampa, FL - October 10, 2024

On Thursday, October 10, after Hurricane Milton, a Category 3 storm, devastated Central Florida, Pastor Raul Velasquez, Founder & President of Disaster Response Ministries International (DRMI), activated the DRMI Chaplains Emergency Response Team. This activation came upon the invitation from Daniel Navarro, Director of Volunteer Services for the Salvation Army of Tampa.

Our team has been on the ground, assisting with mobile canteen operations, providing essential meals, and offering emotional and spiritual care to survivors in the Tampa Bay area. Today, we continue working closely with the Salvation Army Tampa Church, the Salvation Army of Tampa, Salvation Army volunteers, and the Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services to bring much-needed aid and support to the community.

Thank you, Daniel Navarro, and the Salvation Army, for allowing us to serve alongside you in bringing hope and nourishment to the Tampa Bay community during this difficult time.

A special thank you to all DRMI volunteers for stepping up and being the hands and feet of Jesus during this response.
