DRMI Chaplains Emergency Response Team and DRMI Therapy K9 Theo assist Cajun Navy Grand Force

DRMI Chaplains Emergency Response Team (CERT) and Therapy K9 Theo, along with Handler Chaplain Candie Schwartz and Florida Chaplain coordinator Robin Velasquez are working alongside the Cajun Navy Grand Force RN to provide wellness checks and spiritual care to residents affected by recent weather events in Pine Island, Florida.


The DRMI CERT is a group of trained chaplains and volunteers who are dedicated to providing emotional and spiritual support to those in crisis situations. They are joined by Therapy K9 Theo, a specially trained dog who provides comfort and emotional support to those in need.


Chaplain Candie Schwartz, who is leading the team, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to serve the community during this difficult time. "We are honored to be here in Pine Island, Florida, to offer comfort, care, and support to those who have been affected by recent weather events," she said.


The Cajun Navy Grand Force RN, a group of volunteer nurses and medical professionals, is providing medical assistance and wellness checks to residents affected by the recent weather events.


Together, the DRMI CERT, Therapy K9 Theo, and the Cajun Navy Grand Force RN are working tirelessly to ensure the well-being of the residents of Pine Island, Florida. Their efforts are a testament to the power of community and the importance of coming together in times of crisis.
