Disaster Response Ministries International (DRMI) Founder & President Dr. Raul Velasquez and First Lady Pastor Robin Velasquez had the honor of attending the Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration at the Florida Governor’s Mansion, hosted by Governor Ron DeSantis and First Lady Casey DeSantis.
The evening brought together community leaders, educators, and students from across Florida to celebrate the rich cultural heritage and contributions of the Hispanic community. Students were recognized by Commissioner Anastasios Kamoutsas for their exceptional essays-each one a heartfelt reflection of pride, culture, and unity.
“One of the highlights of the evening was witnessing the next generation of leaders being honored for their gifts and dedication,” said Dr. Velasquez. “It was a powerful reminder that God is raising up bright young minds to shape the future of Florida with wisdom, integrity, and strength.”
The Velasquezes expressed their deep appreciation to Governor Ron DeSantis and First Lady Casey DeSantis for their leadership and commitment to celebrating diversity across the state of Florida.
Disaster Response Ministries International continues to be dedicated to serving communities through faith-based leadership, chaplaincy training, and disaster response efforts that bring hope, help, and healing to those in need.
