Honoring Our Heroes

On June 1, DRMI Chaplains Emergency Response Team members Dr. Raul and Pastor Robin Velasquez had the privilege of witnessing a heartfelt presentation of a Certificate of Appreciation to Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Engine 31.

The recognition honored the firefighters for their swift, professional, and compassionate response during a life-threatening medical emergency involving Pastor María de Jesús Columna. Their dedication is a powerful reminder of the vital role our first responders play in protecting our communities every day.

A special thank you to Pastor Rubén Columna and M.D.R.S. (Shalom Reconciliation Ministry) for the invitation. It was truly an honor for DRMI to stand alongside you as we recognized these dedicated public servants and expressed our gratitude for their service.

To all first responders across the Tampa Bay area, thank you for your courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment. You remain in our prayers as you continue answering the call to serve and protect our communities.
